Kayaking From The Sandbar On The Broad River

How about a great day trip to your nearest outdoor center near water. For those living in Atalnta Ga the options are endless. One of our favorite places is the Broad River. This is a great beginers river just north of Athens Ga. The Sandbar is our favorite outfitter. Their boats are in great shape and they order new ones every spring. (At least 100 every spring)
Some of the big pluses about The Sandbar are free parking, you sign in and they bus you to the drop in point so when you are finished you just pop into the office pick up your keys and you are ready to go, it is a beautiful 2-3 hour easy float/paddle with a number of great rapids that a perfect for beginers, and they even have cabins for camping with a resturant right there on the river bank. This is a family owned buisness and they make you feel welcome to come visit every weekend if you would like.
